Part of the FUN collection, a uniquely individual handmade mug.
Thrown and trimmed on the wheel with a hand pulled handle using stoneware clay.
These mugs have been part of a pattern making process I explored using the sgraffito technique, where each piece is layered with a black slip and then carved into.This design being inspired by contour lines found in maps.
A neutral seashell glaze covers the inside and rim, while a glossy black glaze covers the handle for comfort when using, the exterior of this piece is finished to showcase a more tactile experience with a matt textured surface.

Approx height - 9.8cm
Approx rim diameter - 7.3cm
Holds approx - 350ml
Each item is individually handmade meaning that there will be varying qualities in each piece; from how the colours interact, height and roundness. Making them unique and distinctive from one to another.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please note that whilst this item can tolerate the dishwasher I would advise hand washing to maintain its longevity.
Ceramic items are vulnerable to thermal shock which can cause cracking, please take caution when using with hot and cold appliances or liquids.
