The Beach Hut Mug - part of the FUN collection, a uniquely individual handmade mug.
Thrown and trimmed on the wheel with a hand pulled handle using stoneware clay.
These mugs have been part of a pattern making process I explored individually painting each stripe to create a fun trim around the base of the mug.
In this design I have used a deep blue glaze inside and a speckled gloss white glaze on the outside, adding contrasting colours to the base to create a rustic decorative finish.
MEASUREMENTS:
Approx height - 10cm
Approx rim diameter - 7.5cm
Holds approx - 350ml
Each item is individually handmade meaning that there will be varying qualities in each piece; from how the colours interact, height and roundness. Making them unique and distinctive from one to another.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please note that whilst this item can tolerate the dishwasher I would advise hand washing to maintain its longevity.
Ceramic items are vulnerable to thermal shock which can cause cracking, please take caution when using with hot and cold appliances or liquids.
