The Carved Round Planter - part of the FUN collection, a uniquely individual handmade planter.
This planter is part of a pattern making process I explored using the sgraffito technique, where the outside surface is layered with black slip and then carved into.This design being inspired by the simplicity of line play and repetition.
A deep shiny pink glaze covers the inside with the exterior of this piece finished to showcase a more tactile experience with a matt textured surface.

Approx height - 9cm
Approx rim diameter - 11cm
Each item is individually handmade meaning that there will be varying qualities in each piece; from how the colours interact, height and roundness. Making them unique and distinctive from one to another.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please note that whilst this item can tolerate the dishwasher I would advise hand washing to maintain its longevity.
Ceramic items are vulnerable to thermal shock which can cause cracking, please take caution when using with hot and cold appliances or liquids.
