The Grass Stripes Tankard - part of the FUN collection, a uniquely individual handmade mug.
Thrown and trimmed on the wheel with a hand pulled handle using stoneware clay.
These mugs have been part of a pattern making process I explored using tape resist, an exploration into colour combinations and ways to define edges creating a fun and colourful experience in everyday items.
In this design I have used a glossy white glaze and a variegated grassy green glaze combination to create the classic grass stripe.
MEASUREMENTS:
Approx height - 9.3cm
Approx rim diameter - 7.5cm
Holds approx - 350ml
Each item is individually handmade meaning that there will be varying qualities in each piece; from how the colours interact, height and roundness. Making them unique and distinctive from one to another.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please note that whilst this item can tolerate the dishwasher I would advise hand washing to maintain its longevity.
Ceramic items are vulnerable to thermal shock which can cause cracking, please take caution when using with hot and cold appliances or liquids.
